Why am I running for another term as Mayor?

The short answer is: a number of people encouraged me to change my mind and seek another term, and working with Shad Tenpas as our first City Administrator has been an enjoyable experience.

Six months ago, I met with Shad and ask him one question. Am I adding value to you as Mayor? His answer was “absolutely yes”.

Upon the retirement of Joel, we made Shad Tenpas our first City Administrator. As I started working closer with Shad, my role as Mayor changed. I very quickly came to enjoy how Shad handled personnel issues that use to land on my desk. Most of all, it was refreshing to see Shad’s willingness to pursue economic development opportunities for Sheboygan Falls. And with no one else approaching me showing they had any interest in running for Mayor, my decision to run for another term was an easy one to make.

Working as an economic development team, the Council, Shad and I are opening exciting possibilities in Sheboygan Falls. The new Kwik Trip, completing the Vision Park infrastructure, Metallic Tube Applications building now, Dura-Trel building soon, the just signed agreement with Hillcrest builders bringing 27 new single-family lots, and more. The economic future for Sheboygan Falls is bright. I love Sheboygan Falls, and I want to continue to help improve Sheboygan Falls.

Vote Meyer for Mayor on April 3rd.
